Every smartphone manufacturer is working hard to develop budget-friendly smartphones for multiple markets. Oppo also introduced new affordable gadgets, such as Oppo A55s, which was just released in Japan. Oppo A55s renderings surfaced about a week ago, followed by Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG and FCC certification. The device is officially available now and will be available next week. The device is currently only available in Japan, but will soon be available in other South Asian countries. Oppo A55s supports 5G, making it one of the most cost-effective 5G phones. However, this new phone is not yet available in India.

Oppo A55s is equipped with a 6.5-inch full HD LCD with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The new Oppo smartphone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, equipped with 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage space. Oppo also provides a microSD card that can be used to expand storage. The phone runs ColorOS 11 skin based on Android 11.

Oppo A55s uses a dual camera configuration on the back. There is a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture, as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an LED flash. There is also an 8 megapixel front camera for video calls and moderate selfies. Super night mode, portrait mode, and AI scene enhancement are just some of the advanced options available in the camera app.

Oppo A55s is equipped with a 4000mAh battery that can be charged at 18W via USB-C and the included charger. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone.

OPPO A55s has Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G and VoLTE, and 5G connectivity. In Japan, this phone is compatible with NTT DoCoMo Osaifu-Keitai and Sony FeliCa. The gyroscope, compass, proximity sensor and accelerometer are all included in the phone. Surprisingly, it is the first Oppo A series smartphone with dust and water resistance. Waterproof and dustproof reach the IP68 standard, so you don't need to worry about accidental rain or water ingress.

Oppo A55s is priced at 33,800 yen, which is approximately 22,000 Indian rupees. Currently, this phone is only available in Japan and is available in black and green colors.
